History

Joye is a Fine Arts Graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. A life long artist, Joye maintains her studio in Wisconsin and teaches watercolor workshops in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Maine, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina, Texas and Arizona as well as Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Mexico and the Bahamas.

Joye has won numerous awards in Regional, National and International juried exhibitions. Most recent awards include the J. Paul Getty/Chase Award from the Society of Watercolor Artists International in Fort Worth, TX and a Best of Show at the Sante Fe International in Trinidad, CO. Other recent awards include the N.E.W.S. Crystal Award from the North East Watercolor Society International in Ken, Connecticut and the Arthur B. Toan Award at the Community Art Association National Competition in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Her work is collected throughout the United States, Europe, South America and Tahiti and are included in many public, private and corporate collections.

“I consider myself most fortunate to be able to live my life as an artist. My goal is to create work that speaks from my heart, my inner vision. Hopefully that work will touch others as well.”
